Designed by ENKIDU for the Parliament Complex in Erbil, this building was created to solve a real need expanding space for key departments within the Diwan, including Follow-up, Planning, and Administration and Law. But its ambitions reach further than square footage.
The design responds to a tight site with a simple idea: expansion within limitation. Rather than let space constraints define the building, smart planning and bold engineering turned them into an opportunity resulting in a tilted, forward-leaning form defined by glass transparency and refined stainless steel and copper detailing

Its defining feature is a 25-meter cantilever, among the boldest structural extensions in the MENA region. Standing beneath it, visitors feel the weight of the structure above yet see it held with total confidence. Conceived during a period of real political and financial challenge, the cantilever became more than an engineering feat: a symbol of resilience, stability, and forward momentum.
Inside, a bright entrance lobby leads to a grand staircase, the building's central architectural moment, connecting open, glass-partitioned office floors designed for transparency and collaboration.
